During pregnancy, a woman's body undergoes major changes, including an increase in blood volume and fluid. This fluid can cause swelling, often in the legs, ankles and feet. The good news is that varicose veins often disappear soon after childbirth.

You can ask your doctor to recommend compression stockings to wear during the day. This will prevent swelling and fatigue.
